If he's stopped crossing the kitchen

He's not being stubborn. He's scared of the floor.

A dog who's gone down once on floorboards doesn't forget it. He starts taking the long way round. He waits at the edge of the tiles. He stands in the hallway looking at you instead of coming in.

It looks like slowing down. Often it's just fear — and grip on his feet gives him the confidence to move through his own house again.

How they work

Four things that make them stay on.

Falling off is the number one complaint about every grip sock on the market. These are built around fixing it.

Grip across the whole sock

Not a few dots on the sole. The grip wraps the full underside, so when the sock rotates on his paw — and it will — he's still on grip, not fabric.

A strap that holds

A soft fastening strap sits above the ankle and keeps the sock where it should be, instead of working its way down and off.

No buttons

Nothing hard against his leg when he lies down. The strap is permanently attached, so there's nothing to lose in the wash either.

Thick enough to last

Heavier knit than the thin hospital-style socks that wear through a fortnight.

Why most grip socks fail

The difference is whether they stay on.

Getting the fit right

Size snug.

A loose sock comes off — that's the whole problem in one sentence. Measure across the widest part of his paw while he's standing on it, because paws spread under weight.

Paw width

Tap his paw width to see his size.

Between sizes? Go down, not up. Snug stays on — loose doesn't.

Not sure? Message us his paw width and breed and we'll tell you which size to order. If they're wrong when they arrive, we'll exchange them free.

Let him come to you again.

He used to meet you at the door. Grip on his feet is a small thing that gives him back the run of his own house.

Before you buy

Questions people ask before they buy.

Will they actually stay on?

That's the whole reason we picked these. The grip covers the full underside rather than just the sole, and a soft strap fastens above the ankle to hold them in place. If they don't stay on your dog, send them back within 30 days.

Can he wear them outside?

No — these are indoor socks. On pavement they'll wear through quickly. They're made for timber, tile, laminate and polished concrete inside the house.

What size do I need?

Measure the width of his paw with it flat on the floor and taking his weight. Size snug — between sizes, go down. Message us his paw width and we'll size him.

Will he hate them?

Some dogs walk off in them straight away, some need a few short sessions to get used to the feel. Put them on before something he wants to do, keep the first go to a few minutes, and build up.

Are they machine washable?

Yes. Wash and air dry.

How many are in a set?

Four — one for each paw.

How long does delivery take?

Most orders arrive within 6 to 12 days. You'll get tracking as soon as it ships.

Try them for 30 days.

Put them on, see if he'll walk. If they don't stay on, or they don't help him, send them back within 30 days and we'll refund you. Size exchanges are free either way.
